Particle size distribution curve

The results of the mechanical analysis are plotted on a semi-log graph with the percentage finer on the arithmetic scale (y-axis)and particle diameter on the log scale (x-axis).

A smooth curve can be drawn through them. A particle size distribution curve gives us an idea about the types and gradient of the soil.
